Oh so how awesome was this dish – a breaky bruschetta with spicy chorizo, kipfler potatoes, spinach, cherry tomatoes and poached eggs on sourdough with – wait for it, eggplant puree. Although not a big ingredient it was the absolute start. I loved the dish. So where did I get this?
I was lucky enough to have brunch at the Little Hideout Cafe in Balmoral in Brissie’s east last week with my mate Melissa. We had a great catch up, talked work and celebrated my big big birthday – just a little late. It was fab. Now back to the food. It was amazing, with a good mix of flavours. I really liked the eggplant – I wish there was more of it.
Overall, it was a lovely brunch and a great catch up with Melissa.
Only 44 more eggplant dishes to go this year (yes I’m a bit behind).
